Process of EFT:

  3. The Tapping Sequence: This involves tapping with your fingertips on specific meridian points on the body while repeating certain phrases. The main tapping points are:
    • Karate Chop Point: This is located on the fleshy part of the outside of your hand, between the top of the wrist and the base of the little finger.
    • Top of the Head: Tap the crown of your head with your fingertips.
    • Eyebrow: Tap the beginning of your eyebrow, near the bridge of your nose.
    • Side of the Eye: Tap the bone bordering the outside corner of the eye.
    • Under the Eye: Tap the bone directly under your eye.
    • Under the Nose: Tap the area between your nose and upper lip.
    • Chin Point: Tap the area between your lower lip and chin.
    • Collarbone: Tap just below the knobby bone at the top of your chest.
    • Under the Arm: Tap about four inches below your armpit.
    • Thumb: Tap the inside corner of your thumb, near the base of the nail.
    • Index Finger: Tap the inside corner of your index finger, near the base of the nail.
    • Middle Finger: Tap the inside corner of your middle finger, near the base of the nail.
    • Little Finger: Tap the inside corner of your little finger, near the base of the nail.
  4. Repeat Affirmations: While tapping each point, repeat a phrase or affirmation related to the issue you’re addressing. This could be something like, “Even though I feel anxious, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
  5. Check-In: After completing a round of tapping, check in with yourself to see how you feel. Notice any changes in your emotional state or physical sensations.
  6. Repeat if Necessary: If you still feel the emotional intensity or physical discomfort, repeat the tapping sequence while adjusting the setup statement and affirmations as needed.
  7. Closure: Once you feel a sense of relief or resolution, take a few deep breaths and close the session. You can end with a positive affirmation or statement of gratitude.
